The Department of Mathematics at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh is internationally renowned for research in applied mathematics, computational and industrial mathematics, mathematical biology, applied and pure analysis, numerical analysis, pure mathematics, and mathematical physics. The Department is a partner in the Maxwell Institute for Mathematical Sciences. This internationally pre-eminent collaborative centre for the mathematical sciences brings together research and postgraduate training activities at Heriot-Watt University and the University of Edinburgh.
The Department is seeking to make an academic appointment at Assistant Professor level to enhance its existing research strengths. We would particularly welcome applicants with expertise in the areas of applied mathematics or computational mathematics and applicants whose research has the potential for industrial or interdisciplinary connections.
