We are pleased to announce a two-day hybrid workshop on "Modelling Nonlocal Effects in Biological and Social Sciences” to take place on 28-29 August 2025 in the School of Mathematics, University of Birmingham.
Biological and social systems exhibit spatio-temporal nonlocal effects, which are often modelled using integro-differential equations, delay differential equations, nonlocal PDEs or non-Markovian processes. The workshop aims to bring together experts and early career researchers working on such models across diverse applications, including cell biology, collective behaviour, and opinion dynamics, providing a platform to exchange ideas and address shared challenges.
